“Our guiding motto is that every child deserves to be in a school that serves their needs,” Huffman said. “Some people decide a private school does that best, and if they can afford it, they do it. With this program, folks who aren’t able to pay have another option.”
Under the program, voucher amounts would be pegged to family income and would range from $2,313 a year to $4,626 a year. Families earning up to $95,000 could qualify.
