• Indian Hills Christian School (IHCS) has made a huge impact in our son’s life. The teachers care for the children as if they were their own. The principal is on a first name basis with all parents and you are always greeted with a smile and feel welcome. The class sizes are kept small and conducive to a great learning environment. Respect, honesty and integrity while learning Christ’s word are invaluable lessons every child need’s to succeed in today’s crazy world. The lessons Alex learns at IHCS will stay with him for a lifetime.

Many people think that because the school uses part of First Baptist Church for it’s classrooms that it is a Baptist school. This is not true. In fact, IHCS will be moving next year to a new location and will operate independently. The curriculum is Biblically based but not geared towards any specific religion. “Like” the Facebook page then call to set up a tour of the school and see for yourself what IHCS has to offer your family!

• A testimony -  as recalled by Melissa Price, regarding the impact our school had on her daughter Jolissa Price, who attended Kindergarten and First Grade at another local public school. Jolissa had a positive experience in Kindergarten but was told she had a “huge personality and was easily bored”.

The following year, Jolissa was one of (26) students in her first grade class. The teacher expressed concerns about Jolissa and demonstrated little patience for either her or the other classmates. Her teacher yelled at Melissa (the mother), in front of other parents in the school parking lot, about putting Jolissa on medication for ADHD. Jolissa felt unliked all year by her teacher. Throughout the year, Jolissa was forced to wear a rubber band around her wrist to snap herself whenever the teacher asked her to. This was done, with the approval of the School’s Principal, and was asked NOT to share this disciplinary action with her parents. The following year, Jolissa transferred to Indian Hills.

Jolissa’s second through sixth grade experience was completely different. She felt accepted for who she was and developed a strong faith because she was loved and given …the right foundation. One of the key people who reached out to Jolissa and made a HUGE difference was Sandy Par-Due.  Jolissa’s mother admitted … “She was given a solid foundation, one I could never have given her on my own!
